The Word

Why are the most expansive hearts,
Limited by the conveyance of words,
There is only that interval of time,
To which the soul must be heard.

The birds are many over the land,
No wonder anymore the grace to fly,
The fifth day and this day be theirs,
And the sixth and the rest be mine.

Whether the raven parts the air lost,
Or the dove reveals a better way,
Still the sea never ceases to toss,
And the waves fall over the bay.

Beauty, the earth that brings forth life!
And the strength of toilers under sun,
Each sent forth into the waves,
May forge new paths to freedom.

So quick does warm summer turns frosty cold,
And faster the sun that cracks the ice,
Heed with caution the visions revealed,
Where does the dark turn to light?

It is the destiny, it is the will,
To raise the soul to the highest peak,
And from the first words e’er spoke,
We were blessed with life to be.

Love and Light

Love is finding the light

in someone’s soul,

and strengthening their own

from the light.

The spirit casts its shadow

on that which is loved.

We are light,

a flicker, a dance,

brightest in the darkest,

A lightening strike chance.

And we are love,

as the atom in a quantum field,

Or a magnetic, falling wave,

a water crystal pure as light,

a movement in the flame.

Empty Dreams

The box is full yet nothing left,

cystals and strange apparati

fill the dark, clear and pristine,

A sundry of forgotten dreams,

a space best filled with dark again.

What a shame to leave the treasure,

what a time to wait for none,

for many who seek search wrong,

lest they seek the rising sun.

Some must stumble through the dark,

do not pay the fares!

Danger looms in expediency,

Shadows won’t luminate tears.

When the sun doth come again,

And in this heart shed a ray of hope

a second or a days rejoice

Is quite enough to know,

infinite is found in that single grain,

The part represents the whole.

Fairy Dreams

It may have been out of place,

The intent somewhat askew,

it could have been the planet’s course

or the light from the full moon.

how would I know the dream,

Without the moments stretch,

At least in reaching for the light,

may know there is nigh to catch.

the fairy pond shimmers in silver ray,

and the ethereal mists hover low,

my hand the surface breaks,

as the mist surrounds me whole.

The suns light will break through,

in the still breath of morn,

the dove will sing the choirs song,

as such a new day is born.

the fairies dance to timed twangs,

the ladies sing and muse,

The children laugh and carry on,

The elders speak lost truth.

now at least I know for sure,

there is magic in each fairy night,

when the silver turns to gold,

in the dream before the sight.

Fish and Ships

The sea spray sprung high

as I dove in, right in, I plunged,

so far from land, and the vessel

only stopped once in the last 1000 nauts.

There was a sunken enemy ship beneath,

a remnant of a dream asunder,

yet before I could investigate close

a cloud enveloped me like a swarm of bees,

some sort of bayfish or martin,

I realized I had forgotten rope and air,

but my comrade swam down to me to tell,

and brought me to the surface.

Again, on the journey, the limitless ocean,

to one castle pond, to home, to Availon,

I could not go back with the knowledge,

of so many dreams of lost hope,

fallen to dim caverns forever under sea foam,

though I knew the secrets, it was all one body,

and the control board plied of concrete,

the seas still sprayed with the vessels of outlaws,

the people still defied the change,

and perished for the unforgotten hope,

for though the pages of time shall be erased,

the myths will never fail the free,

a memory exists like a fish in a sea.

World Clock

Always looking towards the clock,

so much time, and even more thought,

to fill the chasm, limitless void,

the eye, the ear, the mind have toiled,

the spirit reaches when the feet must rest,

and the mind remembers which of all were best,

the feeling of a place drawn across time,

the power in hand when motivations align,

the inspired song when the muses take flight,

the remorse when the light grows dim in the night,

the delight when the stars fall and fade,

and the fiery sun sweeps the brisk morning away.

in one direction every thing must fall,

the rhythm is surely without, withal

and whoever set the motions made man

a wandering ‘low sun soon as he began.

Heart of Gold

A heart of gold

is a heart as hard as ice,

and solid gold melts quite quick

and the surface easily scythed.

the luster fades like the sun,

as is the way with time,

it’ll circle round and reassure,

that it is an infinite light

the glimmer is only a reflection

a manifestation of how rays align

neither a fetter nor weight to bear,

as true as the blood veins flow,

in new angles the light rays shine

radiating from heart from the soul

from the hand and from the eye

and the depths that can’t be known

Either Way

Like a flash of lightening,  fallen star

the breath before the song,

as it contemplates the space ahead,

a swivel, turn, then gone:

It is a mind that falls to make

the planets all turn right,

and even forceful powers of fate

are reduced by the mind and finite.

With such ease it could have been,

a familiar Northern flight.

Not a moments time to bend

with so many ends in sight.

Roses

I think of you in the dark of night,

and in the fresh light of morn,

somewhere in the mist, our souls

parted ways, and we were born.

Rose petals climb the trusses

a soft texture on the walls,

no free will sends those roses high,

primordial growth, from the first light of time.

Alas, if love is like a rose,

it surely knows which way to grow,

yet trees and clouds obscure the way,

and adjacent brambles snare and sway.

One a morning fair, I passed the rose

and sang a sweet old tune,

and the sun is bright and the sky as blue

than when our love was in full bloom.

Flight

One thousand miles in one step,

nothing but a small turn back,

so fast there is no imprint left,

the trail fades fast in dry sands.

Take the leap and dust shall rise

So many spiral tunnels of flight

Who is to tell when the time is right?

All is to know is the open sky.

The flight, the time, the world may fall,

Love and Wisdom and Will stand tall,

and fettered, icy wings sustain,

when falling towards the world to gain.
